just a quick blog...these guys picked up a couple of boards this week....


This is Allan...he's only 60 years young, about 75kg's and still rides high performance boards... this is a spray that he designed in the 70's and has been a feature on all his boards since then. This board is 6'4" x 19 5/8" x 2 1/2". vee double concave ...pintail Deluxe....


...this next photo is of Carl and a couple of boards that he just picked up......he's a council lifeguard at the moment and has been riding Bill's Bill 'o'matic (BOM)...which is a tweaked version of the fun 'o' matic fish... and had so much fun on it that he had to order one! Carl is about 5'10'' tall and weighs 73 kg's. The BOM is 5'10"x 20"x 2 3/8" triple concave vee, quad fin. The board to Carl's right is a Phantom Deluxe...6'2"x 18 1/2 x 2 3/8"...triple concave vee, thruster. FYI...the triple concave vee is a single concave leading into a double that sit inside the single, that then feeds in to a vee out of the tail from behind the back fin....this vee is a little something that is a feature in most of my boards as it helps put you on rail more easily.

Had a few fun waves the last few days and not much shaping. surfed Burleigh this morning with my team rider and mate, James 'Billy' Watson ...here is a link to him getting a few barrels from a mates website. Billy does Burleigh..

And here's a pic of a board that I did for a guy named Ted...6 x 181/4 x 21/4 ... deluxe...Ted weighs 62 kgs and is 5'9"tall.

Hey guys just getting back to you about dad's board he is riding in the video. This has been his favourite board for the last 10 months or so, which he rides in pretty much everything. It's called a Wonglepong for no particular reason apart from the fact that he likes the name :/. The dimensions are 5'5'' x 19 1/4'' x 2 1/4''. The set up is a quad fin, although lately he has been thinking about turning it into a thruster. I guess we shall wait and see. Hows the old cow size decal ...I think Dad said he did that in the early 90's. More coming soon, bye for now

Hi there, I'm Chris' daughter Sally and he has asked me to do some blogging for him because he is too lazy to do it himself. Nah ... not really just has too much to do. Anyway here is a board that Dad made for a young Englishman named Alex. Alex weighs 62kgs and is about 5'8'' tall. This board is called a bullet and is for small waves up to 4 foot. Its dimensions are 5'5'' x 19 1/4'' x 2 1/4''. Alex even managed to paint it himself suiting his tetris addiction!!


Dad has just recently come home from a trip to Bali, where he was shaping boards for a company called Deus Ex Machina. While there they made a short film on him and here is the link, so check it out. PHANTOM AND THE BOB SLED

My mate Bob Moore(aka...smoking skull) who I've been working with for years and now have the pleasure of working with again in Bali droped by for a visit..."phantom....you home ....I've got something for ya!...." came the call down the telephone line....

..for years of making boards for other people , never have I had someone make a board for me...fully blew me away.... this is Bob's 2nd board that he's made, the first was for himself, and was I impressed!!. He did it all , even making the fins...My first surf was at snapper on a 3-4 foot day....the first 2 waves were a bit sketchy and then I took a set wave and the thing lit up!...before I knew it i was down past Greeny and having a ton of fun....Thanks Bob ...your the best!!

don't know if you know it or not but for years I've been working with a few artists and together we make stuff. This guy is Scott Redford and this is his show that's currently on at the Qeensland Art Gallery in Bris Vagus. Together we have had shows in all sorts of galleries from the Goldy to Germany, even at the at the MCA in Sydney during the olympics when that was on. Sorry for the crappy photo's...got a better camera from Santa this year so from now on things should get better!





A bunch of broken magic boards that were stacked in my factory when Scot found them for the show









some nice shiney boards courtesy of Steve Barber at Full Force.. The Cross boards are a bit of a signature for Scot. They are two guns joined together..A 96 and a 68....there are a red, a yellow and a black one. The Big Pink Surf-paintings were very succesfull and the Qld Premier Anna Bligh, who opened the show, actually has one of these in her office. It's pretty cool to know that the Premier of QLD sits in her office and looks at a painting that you did ...complete with phantom sticker and all! The show runs till March sometime...floods permitting....

A few things to look at ...tugboats, pobblebonks, deluxes and the 6'8'' micro mal for the intermeadiate surfer girl. I love my job!!
